biography Efron was born in San Luis Obispo, California and later moved to Arroyo Grande, California. Son of David Efron, a mechanic, and Starla Baskett, a secretary. Of Jewish descent, Efron was raised agnostic and has never been religious. It has been described himself as "a normal child of a middle class family with strict parents and a younger brother, Dylan. He made some performances in the preparatory works to attending, he worked on a drama called "The Melodrama" and took singing lessons.

In 2002, Efron began acting in various TV series, like Firefly, ER and The Guaridan. Cameron Bale interpreted in the series of Warner Brothers, Summerland.
